Walk Cycle



Initial Research/Inspiration:

My main inspiration for this walk cycle was the 2D Pokémon games and their sprites.

Principles of Animation Applied:

I applied squash and stretch to the face, which squashes on the low pose, and the body, which rises on the higher pose. The character's hair uses follow through, as the locks move differently than the rest of the body because they are lighter. Lastly, I utilized arcs for the arm and leg movement to maintain a natural look.

Secondary Action Reflection:

If I were to add secondary action, I could possibly make my character's sleeves flow or add a blink animation during the walk.
